Cricket went WB/BOW/BOB for her first point in Murpheesbooro, TN on September 27th. We are extremely grateful to Cricket's new BFF Melissa Craft.
Cricket, like Petey named herself pretty much. At five weeks old when her litter was evaluated. Afterwards she laid on the hearth in some ashes. Originally her call name was Ashley.
However, Robby liked the name Cricket like Jiminy Cricket and one of the stories from Song of the South. I then went on the Internet and found that Dickens' wrote a novella The Cricket On The Hearth as one of his Christmas novels. This was later made into an Italian opera named Il Grillo Del Focolare. Kind of long but since she initially reminded us of Petey (Riverwood's Pagliacci) as a puppy we felt it only appropriate she be named after an Italian opera also.
